Scripture - Romans 8:37 (NIV)
"...in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us..

"TOPIC- YOU ARE A CHAMPION!

God wants us to be Champions. He doesn't want us to remain in nappies all our lives. He doesn't want us to just follow Him, He wants us to partner with Him. Life may seem tough at times, however obstacles create strength, strength creates capacity and God wants to expand our capacity. God wants to make you strong, not weak. He wants to 'make you'. We want to change our prayer from 'gimme, gimme' to 'make me, make me.' A legend comes through 'ALL THINGS' with capacity!

A cult of perfection says that we walk on air, drive the latest car, are never injured or in pain, and that we never face trouble in our marriages...this simply doesn't exist! It says in the text 'in ALL THINGS count it as joy' not despite all things. Pity the man who takes the helicopter to the top of Mt Everest. Sometimes we look to God to take us around 'ALL THINGS', however God keeps us in 'ALL THINGS' because He wants to make us legends!

Isaiah 52:7 says "How beautiful...are the feet of those who bring good news..." It is a paradox; it's poetry. The foot is the ugliest part of the body. After running a marathon across arid waste lands, up steep mountain climbs, and dry deserts, your feet are swollen, bruised, cut and scarred. This is what we do for Christ...they are the scars of a Champion! You got up and kept going for the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Real Christian faith keeps going.

The Bible does not say, "good and successful servant". Success belongs to God alone, seed belongs to man. With seed you may have a few failures, however it's whether or not you get up again that counts.

In Revelation 5:6 it reads "Then I saw a Lamb, looking as if it had been slain, standing in the center of the throne..." When I get to heaven I don't want to see a slain lamb sitting on the throne, I want to see fluffy lambs, like in England during the spring! This is a perfectionists view of Heaven. Charles Spurgen asked (rhetorically): "What are the wounds of Jesus doing in Glory?" He replied, "Because they are His Glory!".

Jesus doesn't want those scars to disappear because they remind Him that He conquered the Cross for You and for me. Scars display authenticity. Victory alone is boring, but victory that comes through a struggle is beautiful!

In closing, stop being ashamed of what life has done to you. You got up and remained faithful to Jesus Christ, time and time again! Jesus is increasing your capacity so you can be a part of the greatest move of God ever. You are a Champion!

Think About:

1) Discuss how we can become a conqueror in our everyday lives.
2) How will you use your scar's to grow your capacity and allow God to use you in this life?
